Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 80% remotely!
As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, within the Group Data Technology department. The project involves developing and maintaining an advanced analytic system called LASER. Your role will require analyzing and capturing functional and non-functional requirements, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the seamless implementation of climate risk models. You will contribute to the system’s data flows, create prototypes, and support testing and validation processes to deliver robust and effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzing and capturing functional and non-functional requirements for strategic and short-term projects
- Collaborating with business analysts, users, and system developers to define data sources, data models, and detailed business requirements
- Understanding and implementing climate risk models
- Understanding system data flows and data models from Front to Back
- Developing proof-of-concept or prototypes to clarify business rules, processes, and functions
- Reviewing and manipulating trade, risk, and reference data to prepare test packs
- Providing input to test plans, testing strategies, design discussions, and project planning meetings
- Translating requirements into high-level epics and providing estimates for planning
- Documenting high-level designs in Confluence and logging requirements in JIRA
- Performing functional checks and validating results in UAT and post go-live
- Working in PODs to deliver stories and tasks, providing functional support in production tickets and incidents
YOU’RE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:
- A disciplined approach to requirements analysis with a background in software engineering or computer science
- 5+ years of experience and excellent understanding of climate risk-related topics
- 7+ years of experience in capturing, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
- 7+ years of experience working within large strategic and small tactical projects
- 5+ years of experience in prototyping, rapid application development, or iterative development
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python
- Good understanding of BDD and its application in emphasizing the behavior of an application for business needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken
- A collaborative and cooperative attitude
- Structured working style, efficiently managing multiple tasks
- A strong sense of ownership for tasks assigned until resolution
- Good understanding of the Agile methodology and its benefits for stakeholders
