JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an enthusiastic and well-qualified level three Business Analyst to join our dynamic team of professionals.
In this role, you will work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, supporting critical initiatives for our Government Customer. As the Business Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, execution, and optimization of various projects and strategic objectives. This role requires you to be adaptable, agile, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Key responsibilities include analyzing business needs, identifying process improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting the development of solutions that enhance business outcomes. You will play a critical role in converting high-level strategic plans into actionable tasks, ensuring that project milestones are met, and providing key insights to drive decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. You will need to demonstrate professionalism and flexibility as you navigate the complex challenges associated with federal contracts and rapidly changing priorities. In addition, you will work to create and maintain essential documentation, develop detailed reports, and contribute to a wide range of business activities aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness for the organization.
Compensation Minimum: $80,000
Compensation Maximum: $95,000
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Hold and maintain an active Secret clearance
  • Identify and evaluate key business opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Engage and influence stakeholders to drive successful project alignment and support
  • Provide project management assistance for high-impact initiatives
  • Collaborate across departments to enhance business outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Evaluate business processes, recommend and implement continuous improvements
  • Translate roadmap features into actionable and prioritized user stories
  • Draft clear, structured business requirements and comprehensive documentation
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process automation
  • Develop insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations to track and enhance performance
  • Analyze and resolve process inefficiencies to drive operational improvements
  • Effectively communicate and validate requirements with stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Conduct data discovery, in-depth analysis, and process modeling for informed decision-making
  • Partner with product managers for strategic roadmap planning and prioritization
  • Possess a strong understanding of financial management, forecasting, and execution tools
  • Well-versed in acquisition regulations, practices, and compliance procedures
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Simplify complex information and communicate it in a clear, concise manner
  • Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Proactively identify and address potential issues before they arise
  • Excel in both verbal and written communication to clearly articulate concepts and proposals

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
  • Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
