BUSINESS ANALYST

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

Essential:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the financial sector, with a strong grasp of technical systems and processes.
  • Proven experience navigating transformation environments, particularly in modernising and migrating from legacy systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on addressing the technical challenges of legacy systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working with technical teams and stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and resolving issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness across all deliverables.
  • A team-oriented mindset, promoting collaboration and contributing to a positive work environment.

SKILLS & TOOLS

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong ability to analyse and document business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify and remove obstacles for engineering teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the current landscape, including technical aspects of legacy systems, to support the transition to modern target systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to identify and resolve obstacles, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Quickly gain knowledge of systems and the products they support to provide relevant and actionable insights.
  • Document business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications to guide engineering activities.
  • Secure stakeholder approvals on documented requirements, ensuring alignment and shared understanding.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders, addressing their concerns with a thorough understanding of systems and products.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail, ensuring project documentation and deliverables are accurate and complete.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure, maintaining focus despite the complexity of the environment.
  • Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
