Currently we are looking for a qualified individual to work as a Business Analyst (LIMS or Health System) with our direct client in Raleigh, NC.

MAY REQUIRE TRAVELING IN THE LOCAL RALEIGH AREA TO ATTEND MEETINGS

Our direct client is seeking a senior Business Analyst to support the business process and requirements analysis and implementation of a statewide IT project for North Carolina State Laboratory of Public Health (NC SLPH). The NC SLPH is seeking to procure, validate, and implement an upgraded version of the existing Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) that provides reliable, accurate, and timely reporting of data generated and stored (consistent with retention policies) in the NCSLPH Clinical and Environmental Programs and requires the services of a senior Business Analyst role to work with the business and other stakeholders to support the business process analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Extensive knowledge of business system analysis techniques and testing methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in gathering business requirements and development of business rules and process flow.
• Proven experience with business process design, definition and/or re-design.
• Experience with Business Analysis methodologies and problem solving
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Visio) Microsoft Project
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Experience in development of procurement related documents including RFP and evaluation criteria.
• Demonstrable analytical skills and an attention to detail.
• Excellent creative thinking and problem solving skills Proactive, quality oriented, with demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
• Experience working for State government
• Healthcare related experience
• Lab Information Management System (LIMS) or other health systems experience is desired
• Knowledge Creating Context Diagram and Functional decomposition
• Experience with DPH public health lab system and programs
• Familiarity with agile methodology, tools and frameworks, i.e. scrum, kanban

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Lab Information Management System (LIMS) or other health systems development of procurement Microsoft Office Suite RF

• Develop a strong understanding of the functions, uses and requirements for the Lab Information Management System (LIMS)
• Identifying and documenting current and future state process workflows
• Developing documents such as: Business objects inventory list Reports, email notifications and Forms List, Email Notifications/Letters Inventory List, User Stories, Permission Matrix, Wireframes
• Additional development of documents may include but is not limited to entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, system context diagrams
• Assisting in performing functional and integrated testing
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation and artifacts including analysis, reports and user documentation
• Working with project manager, developers, and end-users to ensure LIMS designs meet business requirements
• Providing UAT support, including developing test scenarios and cases using DHHS methodology
