REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must reside in Canada and be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Candidates must have a minimum 5 years Property and Casualty Insurance Industry experience.
  • Candidates must have a minimum 3 years Guidewire Policy Suite experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Jira or other Ticket management solutions for team coordination and task tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing SQL queries to extract and analyze data relevant to team operations.
  • Good business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units.
  • Demonstrated experience with Agile Methodologies and working in an Agile environment.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and inquisitive skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • General Insurance Essentials (GIE) is required.
  • Enrolment in the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Program and/or pursuit of the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation is preferred.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

The Business Analyst II serves as an internal consultancy role that has responsibility for investigating business systems, identifying options for improving business systems and bridging the needs of the business with the use of information technology. The individual works with both internal and external stakeholders. The Business Analyst II focuses on correcting defects, defining requirements and testing system / process changes. The individual has a strong understanding of insurance, business systems and data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Defines configuration specifications and business analysis requirements.
  • Performs quality assurance and testing.
  • Defines reporting and alerting requirements.
  • Conducts triage and reviews of incoming defects and enhancement requests.
  • Works with partners to investigate, prioritize and fix defects.
  • Designs, documents and maintains system processes.
  • Provides timely updates and documentation.
  • Looks for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver value on a consistent basis.
  • Participates in data analysis and corrections, working with the team to identify and rectify data issues.
  • Supports the team in performing other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
