Our Thunder Bay location in Ontario, Canada is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Business Analyst, Ontario Woodlands. This job is permanent full-time.
Reporting to the Business Services Manager, the position is responsible for developing and managing the datasets and systems necessary to support Domtar’s fibre supply and related activities, including rate models, pricing structures, cost assessments, and related analyses.These analyses are critical to support rate negotiations, budget and forecast rate development and the evaluation of continuous improvement opportunities. The position works collaboratively with internal teams across the division to support the achievement of divisional goals.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, to communicate with all levels of the organization and to adapt quickly to change.
- Excellent analytical skills to support sound decision-making
- Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office and solid computer skills.
- Knowledge of data analytics, including macro development, programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL), to leverage data for advanced analysis and automation would be considered a valuable asset.
- Ability to interpret complex data and perform quantitative analysis.
- Precision in pricing, cost assessment, and financial analysis to avoid costly errors.
