Description:
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in payments and cards to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, specifically in the payments and cards domain
Your primary role will be to act as a key interface between the technical project team and user communities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead/support a small payments SME team aimed at decode/document/features/user stories and associated business processes.
- Build User Stories from EPICS to bolster requirements and documentation.
- Identify Key Business Processes to ensure they are catered within any change
- Working on multiple phases of a project and/or multiple small projects of moderate scope and sometimes complex assignments.
- Applying standards and methodologies as a subject matter expert.
- Needs analysis, project or task planning, process/data analysis and modelling and/or logical database design.
- Identifying and assessing risks to the success of the project.
- Agreeing project approach with stakeholders and preparing realistic plans.
- Assisting in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and underlying issues arising from investigations, and potential benefits.
- Producing specific business cases and scenarios, defining and documenting system acceptance criteria.
- Testing coverage analysis, risk prioritisation and analysis of defect trends.
- Preparing training material for the team and vertical practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
- Additional course or certification in Business Analysis
Essential skills:
- Visa on boarding – Physical and virtual Access to Visa, systems and information
- Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
Experience:
- Have a deep understanding of the Base 1 application and TPF from a development and support perspective.
- SME specialist with Legacy technology knowledge to decode/translate the current source code.
- SME specialists with Payment processing specialists.
- Knowledge in business analysis methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments.
- Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high.
- Good self-management. Can set and work to quantified goals and standards. Delivers by being aware of and considering the commercial impacts.
What do I need before I apply:
- You’ll also need to be flexible to travel to client sites across the UK as required.
