Platinum Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst to work in a dynamic cybersecurity program, working closely with government leadership and stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document requirements.
This role involves extensive collaboration with the Program Manager, software engineers, cybersecurity engineers, and other team members to ensure that requirements are effectively translated into actionable deliverables. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to act as a Deputy Program Manager when needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum six (6) + years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a cybersecurity or IT environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
- Proven experience working with government agencies or in a federal environment.
- Experience in project management is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, including software engineers and cybersecurity engineers.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), or similar certifications are a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with government leadership, stakeholders, and end-users to gather and define business and technical requirements for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and requirements, ensuring alignment with program goals and cybersecurity standards.
- Work closely with the Program Manager, software engineers, and cybersecurity engineers to translate business and technical requirements into project deliverables.
- Act as a Deputy Program Manager when required, assisting in the management of project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications, use cases, process flows, and test plans.
- Identify potential risks and issues related to requirements and propose mitigation strategies.
- Provide clear and concise communication to government stakeholders, program management, and technical teams, ensuring alignment and understanding across all levels.
- Support the validation of project deliverables to ensure they meet stakeholder requirements and cybersecurity standards.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements within the program and recommend best practices.
