Description:

RSPCA Queensland is a non-government, community-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of domestic, farmed, and native animals in Queensland. Our mission statement is simple but powerful: Together We Change Lives.

Responsibilities:

Join RSPCA Qld as a Business Analyst to improve our operational effectiveness through system enhancements and software solutions. In this role, you will act as the liaison between business customers, software vendors/developers, and the Program Manager (DCX) to define system requirements, design and document workflows and operational processes, ensure quality assurance and testing, and support the implementation of system-related projects. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify change initiatives, capture requirements, and define work packages.
  • Contribute to process and procedure documentation, including BAU transition documentation.
  • Utilise critical thinking and analytical skills to identify and propose solutions.
  • Work with a hybrid development team to ensure requirements are met and tested.
  • Facilitate workshops to capture functional and business requirements.
  • Support the Program Manager in managing strategic technology initiatives from inception to production.
  • Develop, manage, and update business cases.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Prepare materials for steering committee meetings.
  • Document and communicate business requirements, converting them into Stories and tasks.
  • Assist in work costing, tracking, and identifying implementation variances.
  • Document and communicate risks, issues, decisions, actions, changes, and lessons learned.
