POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director, Finance, Fresh Pork, the Business Analyst is accountable for driving business excellence by compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting costing and sales information, while supporting decision making and analysis at the senior management level.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide operational support by assisting Pork Operations with business analysis and decision making;
• Enhance, expand, and maintain Product profitability reporting analytics;
• Pricing support/analytics for trade deals with Reps - ensuring proper approval and entry into system by A/R;
• Monthly Margin analysis, completion, and submission to Finance;
• Review and follow-up on Daily Price Discrepancy Reporting - ensure alignment to Price Lists and offer sheets;
• Conduct analysis on Volume, Costs, and Trade Spend;
• Weekly and Monthly Sales commentary on performance – Weekly scorecard and detail reporting;
• Provide manufacturing support by supporting Operations to complete modelling/analysis to drive improvements in labour efficiency;
• Maintain product costing model, while acting as a key stakeholder in new product development;
• Distribute transfer price listings to fellow Sofina plants.

REQUIREMENTS:

• University Degree with 3-5 years of cost accounting, analysis and financial reporting experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Experience with Sales Analysis and interpretation is an asset;
• Completion or in the final stages of an Accounting designation program (CPA);
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (advanced level in MS Excel- VBA Programming an asset) and other Windows Applications;
• Strong interpersonal skills partnered with the ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the organization.
