Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Business Analyst/Software Tester (508 Accessibility) for one of our clients. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for auditing a suite of 36 modules for accessibility compliance.
- While auditing a module, you will document concerns as stories in JIRA.
- Attend design sessions as the accessibility advocate.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards and perform 508 testing of 10+ applications.
- Create test cases and user stories based on Section 508 requirements and business requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to fully understand the full scope and impact of each story and ensure functionality is accessible.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years applicable experience (or Associate’s Degree with 3 years applicable experience.
- 508 experience in some capacity (testing, Business Analyst, etc.)
- Certified DHS Trusted Tester (Preferred)
- Experience with JIRA/CONFLUENCE (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of the SAFe methodology (Agile/Jira) (Preferred)
- Experience with Pega (Preferred)
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to work independently, with minimal oversight.
- Good organizational and communication skills
