KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Functional

  • Lead BA experience working to onboard a RaaS or SaaS product
  • Significant experience of waterfall and agile project life cycles within a structured environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), traditional ETL (Business Objects Data Services, Informatica, SSIS etc.) and Azure DevOps
  • Demonstrable track record delivering high quality analysis by distilling large and varied data sources to produce actionable business insight in data migration projects
  • BA experience in financial services, or within Private Equity or Fund Management
  • Ability to elicit and documenting end-to-end business process flows at all levels using BPMN
  • Ability to elicit and document detailed business requirements including provision of rationale and relevant context
  • Ability to work in a systematic, coherent and objective manner, demonstrating rigorous evaluation skills to arrive at an optimal solution
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Well versed with Microsoft Visio for production of process maps
  • Strong track record of successful delivery against project objectives and delivering fit for purpose solutions
  • Consistently own and drive through issues to a successful conclusion with the respective teams in a timely manner
  • Exposure to Enterprise Architecture tools

Stakeholder Management

  • Lucid and structured communication tailored to the audience
  • Experience in independently running workshops with both business as well as technical stakeholders to elicit business processes and requirements, review analysis and validate documented projects artefacts

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join Pantheon’s Project Management Office to support delivery of organisational transformation. Over recent years, Pantheon has experienced breath-taking growth with global expansion, new product offerings and significant increase in AUM; this has translated into a program of transformational change, focussed on the Operations and IT teams. The Business Analyst will have the opportunity to engage with the business at all levels and ability to support the project delivery across multiple key areas including strategy and architecture, business change, systems development and implementation. The role is to be recruited on a contract basis and is anticipated to last until at least mid 2025
The specific projects that are in scope for this role are the development and adoption of a new client reporting system and the migration from the current reporting systems. The end-to-end process will be redesigned with new workflow and document delivery processes to complement the new reporting materials. The scope of this project will also encompass the adoption of new SEC regulatory requirements for private fund advisers.
The successful candidate will have experience in working across various Technology and Operational change projects, especially data focussed projects such as Data Warehouse change, and wider Transformation projects. They will be experts in the practice of developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Furthermore, the candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work independently with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
The successful candidate will be part of the Transformation Delivery programme to support and drive the implementation of enterprise wide improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Analyst is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:

  • Document business requirements and support business areas to develop policies / procedures to uphold these within the target operating model
  • Run workshops to gather business requirements and convert them into clear specific requirements documents, collaborating with technology and business team partners to drive consensus
  • Build a source data map for database & file data sources and contribute to the establishment of a source data dictionary and entity relationship diagrams
  • Work with technical staff within the team to identify data gaps, feedback gaps to the customers to find alternative data sources
  • Contribute to the establishment of data rules for cleanliness confirmation and transformation
  • Elicit and document end-to-end AS IS/TO BE business process flows, data flows and requirements at the appropriate level of detail
  • Develop a clear understanding of the project, including objectives, scope and success criteria; proactively obtain any clarifications where necessary
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts including laying the foundations for the upcoming analysis
  • Uphold architecture standards for documenting and maintaining business process flows and related artefacts
  • Work with architecture colleagues to validate requirements against solution proposals
  • Support vendor selection process and uphold company procedures
  • Support the business and IT teams through all system life cycle phases
  • Ensure successful adoption of business and IT change within the business community by maintaining engagement with the user base, enabling training and support as required
  • Provide periodic progress reporting as required
