Description:
Our Client is a Global Pension Fund organization with Private Investment and Infrastructure portfolios that include investments throughout North America, Asia and Europe and is looking for a Business Analyst on their Valuations team to join them for a 12+ month contract. There is strong potential for the contract to extend for another 1 to 2 years after the first 12 months. The role is hybrid with 2 to 3 days a week in office located in downtown Toronto.
The Valuations Business Consultant/Business Analyst will be responsible supporting the migration of SAP HANA to a modern cloud-based data architecture for the organization to ensure that valuation processes and data integrity are maintained throughout the transition by identifying and re-engineering of all dependencies from existing systems to the target modern solution related to internal valuation engine, daily valuation workflow and other valuation processes. The role will require a deep understanding of valuation principles, strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with valuation team and other stakeholders to layout the data schema and connection of valuation processes with current book of record system including all fields associated with data feeds, mapping rules, data extracts, valuation reports etc.
- Analyze current data structures, identify gaps and redundancy, and review business logic and eligibility to ensure all information required by valuation models, analytics and control procedures are properly scoped for a future end to end seamless transition
- Define new data mapping and transformation rules as required by valuation models to ensure data consistency and accuracy in the new system
- Work closely with internal IT group and project management teams to support the full cycle design, testing and implementation of the database migration
- Create comprehensive internal documentation, including business requirements, process flows, data mapping, business logic and user guides
- Serve as a liaison between Valuations team, IT, Risk, Investment Management and Finance Data Governance teams to ensure effective collaboration, communication and alignment on project goals and timelines
- Provide training and support to end users to facilitate a smooth transition to the new system
