Our Business Intelligence team drives the Firm’s data culture and strategy, managing data and business intelligence. Collaborating with data governance and development teams, our Business Analysis team interfaces with the Firm for internal BI needs.
The Business Analyst is a key member of our global Business intelligence team, managing backlog items in the Agile development cycle and ensuring a positive stakeholder experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years’ experience in hands-on business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management, with experience in an international law firm preferred.
  • Experience in gathering requirements and delivering projects for reporting, analytical projects, and more advanced BI opportunities (such as predictive models) is preferred.
  • Understanding of both the global economic environment as well as local markets relevant to the firm’s business, including a familiarity with the firm’s key clients, geographies and industries.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible self-starter comfortable with tackling new projects independently while also being able to take direction from senior staff.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment, effectively manage time and tight deadlines; able to multitask.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to define and gather business requirements.
  • Translate business pain points into work items for development.
  • Understand the firm’s business model to become a trusted analyst.
  • Learn key data structures, definitions, and tools to meet requirements.
  • Identify and document data pain points, communicating them within the BI group.
  • Collaborate with shared services to innovate and improve processes.
  • Drive engagement with BI tools through training and outreach.
  • Champion PowerBI usage, delivering demos and identifying project opportunities.
  • Manage projects with a multi-skilled team to foster a data-driven culture.
