We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Analyst with over 3 years of proven expertise in analysis and design in creating or enhancing products and solutions with high user touch. The ideal candidate is responsible for the implementation of Vendor Management Software, Payroll, Absence and Time tracking.
A Day in the Life

Business Analysis in Project Execution:

  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by finishing and refreshing project records; overseeing the project’s boundaries; making necessary schedule changes; deciding what tasks to focus on each day; making sure tasks and key achievements are completed efficiently and on schedule; adhering to the correct escalation procedures; and handling interactions with customers and vendors.
  • Identify, develop, and support modifications in process design through the analysis and design of business and systems processes by concentrating on enhancing quality and managing data effectively.
  • Formulating enhancements to processes or redesigning them by suggesting the removal of unnecessary processes, incorporating new systems and processes with current ones, and collaborating with both internal and external clients to guarantee that the systems offered align with the long-term business goals.
  • Provide project-level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan)

Documentation of Business requirements and feasibility design:

  • Lead the team through analysis of enhancement to develop documentation on business needs and design until the development lead signals that the story is prepared for development to start.
  • Participate in technology product road mapping by understanding the overall system setup, including overall functional usage of Workday.
  • Influence the prioritization of the product backlog according to business value and severity.
  • Assist with testing as required – may include identification of test cases, reviewing test cases and coordination of user acceptance testing.
  • Develop supporting documentation when applicable including current and future state flow diagrams, data mapping, etc.
  • Work independently and with technical teams to develop user interface design.
  • Thoroughly perform regression tests and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) across teams.
  • Plan, document, and execute user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios against the system, functionality, and processes during product releases and patches.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline HRIS processes and functionality, collaborating with HR and other key teams to implement new features, enhancements, and customizations. Utilize SMARTSHEET, ServiceNow, JIRA applications to gather business requirements, RAID log, backlog.
  • Participate in sprint planning processes and execute on the sprint plan presented by the development team. Accepts/rejects (sign-off) on the software sprint reviews.

Production Support:

  • Provide process and product support individually and through collaboration with business and IT resources.
  • Collaborate with project team members to solve implementation issues and business problems.
  • Contribute to the build and delivery of change management plans.
  • Responsible for day-to-day end user HRIS support in all modules; proactively managing and responding to Tier 1/Tier2 level requests (Workday Core HCM, Adv. Comp, Talent, Reporting, Workday Integration (Payroll and Benefits), Absence Management, Workday Learning).
  • Troubleshooting and defect resolution: Resolve system issues as escalated by users including but not limited to employee transactions, reporting, business process configuration, integrations, data transmission (EIB), testing and other troubleshooting support.
  • Develop, create, and maintain a variety of complex Workday reports (advanced, matrix, composite) utilizing Workday Report Writer. Ability to create calc fields, condition / validation rules, alerts, notifications.
  • Facilitate, develop, schedule, and assist with meetings, presentations, and other communications specific to the deliverable and audience.

System upgrade and end user adoption:

  • Plan and lead bi-annual releases, including analysis of impacts of new functionality and cross functional analysis.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and support the team to develop standard operating procedures for critical HR processes.
  • Develop training curriculum and conduct KT sessions related to the new features/enhancements.
  • Support the development and maintenance of end-user support materials and guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, HRIS or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of Workday systems, support and analyst experience required.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes such as HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time tracking and Extended workforce management
  • Project management experience with global Workday projects.
  • Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, or Financials Management.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving and effective judgement in identifying solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint programs.
  • Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management.
