Description:
Manage branch financial processing in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, including preparing accrual and transfer journals, reconciling corporate card payments, goods receipting against purchase orders, paying and generating invoices through SAP, and assisting with end of month reporting. Manage branch human resource administration including staff induction, preparation of payroll and establishment paperwork, maintaining reports and supporting the observance of workplace health and safety procedures.
Perform branch administrative support, including for example, coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements, ordering supplies and stationery, maintaining asset registers, and updating contact lists and the business continuity plan. Coordinate branch correspondence, branch reporting and responses to requests for information.
Provide accurate, timely, and confidential administrative support to the Executive Director, including diary management, planning and scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, papers, and minute-taking.
Assist in communications project delivery, including event support and logistics, writing for internal communications and updating DJAG websites and the intranet.
Maintain an understanding of and adherence to human resource and financial management processes and policies.
Actively contribute to the Branch’s response during crisis or emergency situations, and whole-of-Government crisis response communications.
Support the branch’s participation in critical incident responses, including assisting with on-call rostering.
Positively contribute to the continued development of branch and organisational culture and staff engagement strategies.
