GENERAL
- Prepare clear, concise, accurate reports backed up by sufficient reliable documentary evidence.
- Undertake special assignments as requested to support service and personal development.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Prepare agenda, take minutes at meetings and prepare for circulation following meeting – as agreed.
- Maintain own knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and practices to perform the role effectively including compliance with HSE Financial regulations, GDPR, Health Safety legislation, Employment legislation, Freedom of Information Acts, the Charities Regulator and Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority.
- Pursue continuous professional development to develop management expertise and professional knowledge.
- Keep ICT and digital skills up to date with developments to lever emerging opportunities.
- Undertake all mandatory training.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline
Experience of managing multiple and competing priorities and deadlines, where the ability to analyse and interpret information to inform timely decisions was essential
- Experience in a management position within fundraising, corporate engagement, or individual giving
- Experience of working in a busy office environment, which has involved interacting in a professional manner with senior management and other key internal and external stakeholders, in the delivery of a quality service
- Experience of managing people and fostering teamwork
Responsibilities:
ROLE: BUSINESS MANAGER WITH RESPONSIBILITY FOR FUNDRAISING
Base: West Cork, with flexibility for a hybrid working model (envisaged to be based in Dunmanway, location will be agreed with the successful candidate)
OVERALL PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Business Manager is an integral member of the Leadership Team. The Business Manager will have a ‘gatekeeper’ role in the organisation of the business, governance and fundraising within the Team, therefore positive and productive working relationships are key to fulfilling the role. The purpose of the position is to ensure that systems and processes are appropriately established and ‘fit for purpose’ from a governance, business and fundraising perspective, and to provide business and governance support to the office of the CEO.
