Job Summary:
This role is an integral part of the Digitalization Team to support Wilhelmsen Ship Management’s digital transformation of crewing activities. This includes supporting internal customers with business application issues, identifying and implementing new processes and automation initiatives, overseeing all aspects of enhancement changes to the applications and process improvements and to support all crewing commercial activities and system application related matters in the various regions. The person must be willing to take on new challenges, a strong determination to succeed and a passion to support internal stakeholders to succeed in their business goals.
Position: Business Application – Project & Support Analyst
Location: Menara 1 Sentral - Kuala Lumpur
Report to: Digital Crewing Manager

What You’ll Responsible For:

  • Development of process documentation for to-be processes as part of the digital transformation initiative
  • Monitor and update set of documents being in used in Crewing Operation/Management IT related systems
  • Ensure that Crewing network in WSM are diligently applying the Crewing Operations/Management IT systems
  • Monitor crew compliance application in the systems
  • To supervise users’ compliance with Company’s Crewing Operations/Management IT policies and guidelines
  • Working with Marine Personnel team to ensure compliance with local and international rules and regulations on Crewing Operations/Management IT related matters
  • To ensure safety of data stored and files recovery possibility, supervise development or rearrangement of the network related to Crewing Operations/Management systems
  • To maintain contact with IT subcontractors and vendors in relation to quality of service as well as IT hardware and software purchases (Crewing Operations/Management systems)
  • To assist in Implementation of new Crewing Operations/Management IT systems, performed User Acceptance Test (UAT) & conduct appropriate training of users (where applicable).
  • Attend to Marine Personnel team enquiries on Crewing system & to conduct periodical refresher training (where applicable)
  • Participate in and deliver digital transformation projects
  • Ensure business process documentations, knowledge articles, training materials are developed and maintained.

What Experience and Skills Required:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Data Science.
  • Strong bent towards the sciences, mathematics and technology; inherently curious about how things work
  • Experience in developing process flows, either in MS Visio or other similar software
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with Crewing solution support role or process improvements, IT technical background and automation is an advantage
  • Experience from the maritime industry, is an advantage
  • Experience with developing and conducting end-user training would be an added advantage
  • Experience in developing process flows, either in MS Visio or other similar software
  • Proficient in English, spoken and written
  • Generally possessing good digital awareness, i.e. how digital technologies are changing the businesses
  • Proven ability to learn and understand new systems
