THE POSITION:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Architect (m/f/x) for Sales & Distribution Solutions to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for analyzing and designing business processes within the sales and distribution domain, as well as developing and implementing tailored solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to support process management activities, coordinate optimization initiatives, and lead change and project implementations. Additionally, you will provide valuable support in the day-to-day operations, handling incidents, service requests, and changes for the relevant functional modules.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a multinational environment with a strong customer and service-oriented focus
- In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience knowledge of of supporting SAP applications and workflows (SAP-SD and SAP-LES, ideally also SAP MM, EWM, GTS)
- Very good knowledge of business processes in Sales and Distribution area
- Proven experience in managing internal and external suppliers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills as well as the ability to manage conflicts
- Good documentation skills and knowledge of GxP requirementsAdvanced proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in German or another European language is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and configure sales and distribution processes in the global ERP landscape, developing high-level solutions and contributing to business cases
- Gather and document requirements with stakeholders, translating them into technical specifications for the SAP SD module
- Propose and implement process optimizations to enhance sales operations efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure seamless integration of the SAP SD module with other SAP modules and third-party systems
- Configure and customize the SAP SD module to meet business needs, implementing functionalities like pricing, billing, and sales order management
- Lead or participate in SAP SD implementation and upgrade projects
- Provide technical support and resolve issues related to SAP SD functionalities and integrations
- Document all sales and distribution GxP changes in compliance with industry standards
- Utilize tools and technologies such as SAP SD modules, EDI, IDOC monitoring, PI support, and LSPs/3PLs
