Description:

Arthur Grand Technologies is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Architect - Senior for one of our clients.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE - 30%:

· Knowledge of information technology systems and infrastructure, with the ability to integrate IT solutions to address business needs.
· Understanding of data modeling principles and techniques, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data flow diagrams.
· Experience in change management processes and practices, including strategies for overcoming resistance to change and driving adoption of new technologies and processes.
· Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry like Cloud technologies, with the ability to assess their potential impact on business architecture and strategy.
· Experience in supporting business transformation initiatives by designing target operating models, defining transition states, and developing implementation roadmaps.
· Knowledge of architectural governance principles and practices, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.

BUSINESS ARCHITECT EXPERIENCE - 40%:

· Proficiency in frameworks such as the Zachman Framework, TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), or other relevant frameworks.
· Hands-on experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables and artifacts, such as models, adhering to Enterprise Architecture processes and practice.
· Hands-on Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables, such as architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and solution architectures.
· Awareness of information security principles and best practices, including security architecture and compliance requirements.
· Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across different business units and levels.
· Experience in effectively managing stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, and building consensus among diverse groups.
· Experience in supporting business transformation initiatives by designing target operating models, defining transition states, and developing implementation roadmaps.
· Experience in developing detailed implementation plans that outline the steps, resources, and timelines required to execute business architecture initiatives effectively.

Responsibilities:

· Develop enterprise architecture deliverables and artifacts in alignment with Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practices.
· Utilize frameworks such as the Zachman Framework to design business, information, application, technology, and security architectures.
· Analyze information relevant to business architecture and conduct focus group workshops with stakeholders.
· Model business processes and capabilities at the enterprise and core business levels, including capability models and architectural solutions.
· Provide project management for large-scale, complex, and high-profile IT initiatives, ensuring adherence to standard methodologies.
· Ensure project deliverables meet clients’ business requirements, budget, and timelines, while maintaining compliance with OPS project management frameworks.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements, integrating IT-enabled opportunities to address business needs.
· Facilitate communication, negotiation, and consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.
· Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout project lifecycles.
· Overcome resistance to change and capitalize on supportive forces at all project stages.
