BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Our COP Business Case Team is seeking an experienced investment professional with strong expertise in the Renewable/Infrastructure industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience across project and investment valuation, business case development, M&A processes, and general corporate finance. This role is based in Copenhagen and reports directly to the DK Business Case Team Manager.
As a member of our European Business Case Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the business case function for offshore wind projects across Europe. Our global Business Case team comprises approximately 40 professionals, with a central team located in Copenhagen and others situated in our international offices, providing you the opportunity to be part of a truly global company.
In this role, you will focus on supporting the company’s extensive pipeline of offshore wind projects in both established and emerging offshore markets throughout Europe. You will be playing a key role in the financial and commercial management of these projects, including valuation, financing and analysing cost and revenue drivers. Additionally, you will engage with both the commercial and technical aspects of the projects, securing a robust assumption base for the project and ensuring comprehensive project development and execution.

We are looking for a highly qualified professional holding a master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of outstanding results. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a large corporate, IPP, private equity, or consultancy, and possess the following skills:

• Top academic performer with an interest in large and complex infrastructure projects
• Experience from the energy sector - offshore wind industry is preferred
• Experience with valuation, business cases, M&A processes and corporate finance
• In-depth knowledge of the technical scope of offshore wind is preferred but not a prerequisite
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
• Super user in Excel and PowerPoint
• Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working effectively in a team.
• Dedicated and persistent and meticulous
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present and communicate complex matters clearly.
