We are looking for a highly capable and business-oriented Business Change Analyst to join our team. This role requires a professional who can confidently navigate complex business environments, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive change initiatives within commodity trading and mining operations. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
This is a business-focused role with some overlap with IT, bridging operational needs with transformation initiatives to ensure that business objectives are met efficiently and effectively. The role requires engagement with front, middle, and back-office functions, as well as corporate departments and IT.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in consulting or project management. Commodities and Mining experience is advantageous.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commodity trading, mining operations, and trade lifecycle.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Relevant certifications in project management are advantageous.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Industry-Specific Systems: Experience with trading platforms, supply chain management tools, and financial systems used in commodity trading and mining.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of commodity trading, mining operations, and trade lifecycle.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating complex business requirements into clear action plans.
  • Data & Reporting Tools: Competency with PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, Power BI, or other data analysis tools to support business decision-making.
  • Multilingual Advantage: Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Engagement & Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted advisor across various functions (Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Corporate Functions) to define, document, and implement business solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Change & Transformation Leadership: Drive business change initiatives, ensuring seamless adoption of new processes, systems, and workflows within commodity trading and mining operations.
  • Project & Initiative Oversight: Manage and prioritize multiple business transformation projects, ensuring deadlines are met, and objectives are achieved.
  • Analytical & Strategic Insight: Conduct detailed business analysis to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations that drive commercial success.
  • Decision Support & Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making and enhance operational performance.
  • Process Optimization & Business Efficiency: Collaborate with business users to refine workflows, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and operational efficiencies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical, operational, and business teams to deliver solutions that support trading, supply chain, and financial processes.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business cases, project plans, process maps, and executive reports.
  • Problem-Solving & Risk Mitigation: Identify potential issues and risks early, proposing proactive solutions to ensure smooth execution of business changes.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Influence: Confidently engage with senior leadership, providing clear, concise updates on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
