REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ Years’ experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on Transfer Agency / Fund Accounting and a strong understanding of Transfer Agency processes.
  • Good knowledge of the Fund Administration business, with a particular focus on fund accounting and related functionalities.
  • Experience in the review of fund documentation and comfort in using and reviewing Investor allocation spreadsheets, particularly in the context of fund accounting, is beneficial.
  • Experience in performing data migrations onto Transfer Agency platforms, with a focus on fund accounting processes, is also beneficial.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships, particularly in fund accounting and Transfer Agency contexts.
  • Proven record of creating and developing good Client relationships, especially in the area of fund accounting advisory.
  • Proficient in using Transfer Agency software, with experience in the NTAS or ManTra applications being particularly desirable, including modules related to fund accounting.
  • Strong team player who is also able to work independently on complex queries and projects, with a focus on fund accounting and Transfer Agency advisory.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

The Business Consultant within Deep Pool will develop an in-depth understanding of our clients’ businesses and processes through a strong knowledge of the Financial Services and Fund Administration Industry. With a specific focus on Transfer Agency functionalities and fund accounting, the consultant will provide value-adding advice, training, support, and consultancy to help improve how the Client uses the Deep Pool applications. This will enhance the Client’s organizational processes and controls. The consultant will ensure that Users are proficient in using the applications and, where knowledge gaps are identified, perform additional training as necessary. They will support the Sales and Account Management Team as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in discussions with prospective clients and guide new Clients through the integration of the application into their organizations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) across aspects of the Deep Pool applications with an immediate focus on Transfer Agency functionalities, fund accounting, investor allocations, fee calculations, and data migrations.
  • Providing Level 3 support to Deep Pool Clients on questions that they may have around product functionality, particularly in areas related to Transfer Agency and fund accounting.
  • Discussing new functionality requests with Clients, writing Business Requirement Documents, and discussing with the internal Deep Pool product team how the functionality could be developed, especially in fund accounting areas.
  • Engaging with Deep Pool Clients to develop an understanding of their current processes, particularly related to Transfer Agency and fund accounting, and advising on how to better utilize the applications to improve their processes.
  • Working with the Deep Pool Sales Group in a Trusted Advisor relationship, assisting them in conversations with new prospects, providing product demonstrations, and highlighting the application’s fund accounting features.
  • Configuring the application to fit Client processes when a new client has signed up, performing user training on the application, reviewing their book of business, and assisting with follow-up training as required, with a focus on Transfer Agency and fund accounting functionalities.
  • Performing tasks agreed upon as part of consultancy services offered by the business to existing Clients, particularly those related to Transfer Agency and fund accounting.
