As Business Controller, you will serve several business teams within the Ireland and UK region. You are responsible for Budgeting and Forecasting, Monthly and Annual Reporting and work closely together with the Accounting department. You provide clear financial reports, planning and analyses. Through the periodic closures, you contribute to the annual budget preparation and long-term planning. Together with your colleagues, you present during the business review meetings mainly financial information to the management.
You support the cost allocation of our shared services to the business, based on your expertise. You are also responsible for the project/cost controlling of the Roche remediation project. Therefore you will work closely with the Commercial, Project Management and Engineering Teams at the site. You are willing to make short trips on a regular base.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Complete month-end close within Group deadlines to produce an accurate P&L
  • Work with Business Owners to prepare the Budgets and Outlooks
  • Submit a P&L for the annual 5 year Budget and the bi-annual Outlooks for your responsible business unit
  • You support the different business areas in your responsible unit
  • You are part of the Business Teams operationally managing the different businesses within your region
  • Manage the capture of all project revenue and expenditure in line with the various packages of work to ensure all stakeholders have full and up to date clarity on the financial performance of the overall contract and its components
  • Review the monthly accounts with the Project Team
  • Support the Project Team in any actions requiring financial analysis
  • Participate in monthly Steering Committee meetings

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Master’s degree in Economics with strong financial knowledge and a keen interest in the business context
  • Good knowledge of Excel and are familiar with SAP
  • Other applications used - IBM Cognos Controller and IBM Cognos PAX, Microsoft Power BI (desirable)
  • Experience in medium to large construction projects (or multi-year high value projects of another nature)
  • Business Acumen

Where do you work?
Transfer Station - Dublin Port. Our Company policy is mainly 50/50 as regards working in the office/home. Therefore it is up to the individual to manage their own calendar, obviously being respectful of required meetings and team visibility
