Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The jobholder shall operate within the Head of Region of Airbus Defence and Space Asia Pacific (HOR ADS APAC) office, at the heart of the APAC Regional Team (TMWP). This includes translating strategic plans into execution, by ensuring effective communication and coordination of day-to-day operations and progress, across Global Business (TM) and associated Airbus divisions. The jobholder supports the shaping of business growth and team development, acting as a sounding board for ideas, including taking on relevant ad-hoc projects.
Co-located with the HOR ADS APAC and related Regional Functions in Singapore (e.g. Commercial Aircraft, Helicopters, International, Public Affairs, Communications, Legal & Compliance), and working remotely with Key Account Managers across the ADS (Airbus Defence and Space) APAC territories, as well as Central Functions in Europe (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Industrial Participation & Partnerships, Finance, Strategy).
The job holder will need to demonstrate strong leadership, cross-cultural and interdisciplinary awareness in supervising, coordinating and monitoring progress across various departments and time zones.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline;
- Understanding of the defence and/or space market;
- Excellent communication skills in English are mandatory
- Previous working experience in similar role(s) or in leadership position supporting management
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of strategic concepts
- Proactive and forward-thinking (able to anticipate, manage and mitigate risks);
- Independent, highly motivated with specific attention to details;
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to easily connect with people from different cultures, functions and backgrounds to create a positive working environment;

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain alignment among stakeholders and oversee the implementation of actions under the responsibility of the HOR ADS APAC;
- Facilitate the escalation of support required from Executive Management to secure strategic business objectives;
- Consolidate data and content for reports, business reviews, deep dives, briefs, newsletters and events;
- Support planning and execution of objectives across APAC (e.g. people development, order intake, selling expenses, data quality & governance), using KPIs and dashboards to keep the various teams on track;
- Manage event preparation, including (but not limited to) agenda consolidation, country & meeting briefs for Executive Management, communication material and speech writing;
- Facilitate the flow of information from internal and external sources to ensure that ADS APAC can function in an agile and dynamic way;
- Actively seek and implement initiatives for the continuous improvement of ADS APAC;
- Lead home nation support for ADS APAC, by working closely with Airbus International and other relevant stakeholders to prepare for high-level political exchanges, multilateral military exercises and other engagements to promote ADS’ ambitions in the region.
- Be the voice of APAC within ADS, and be the voice of ADS within APAC;
- Organise periodic events to foster a collaborative working environment;
- Represent the HOR ADS APAC when required.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Salesforce Key User: Provide guidance to the ADS APAC community on the use of Salesforce to ensure effective opportunity and lead management. Work closely with Europe to champion new features and technologies to enhance the business process and ways of working (e.g. Qualtrics, mobile app);
- Process Management Team (PMT) “Sell” Domain Member: Support process improvements in the “Sell” domain and be the change manager in ADS APAC;
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Network: As part of the network, identify the risks & opportunities in APAC and devise strategic actions with the HOR ADS APAC (e.g. to mitigate risk, exploit opportunity). Provide periodic updates in the Active Risk Management (ARM) tool and to the TM ERM Network.
