Overview: Position: Business Data Analyst Department: Walton Personal Philanthropy Group Reporting to: Senior Manager, Grant Operations Location:Bentonville, Arkansas Desired Start Date: May 2025 Walton Personal Philanthropy Group, a subsidiary of Walton Enterprises, seeks a data-driven, analytical, and results-oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of large volumes of data from diverse sources, enabling informed and impactful business decisions. This individual will work closely with the Senior Manager of Operations to develop customized reports and dashboards tailored to the needs of key stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. Additionally, this team member will collaborate with a team of software engineers to validate, organize, and transform complex datasets into accessible and actionable data visualizations. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion. REQUIREMENTS GATHERING AND STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION:

  • Collaborate with business users to understand data needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for and align internal data structures and systems with our customized database’s specific needs and requirements.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

Qualifications required for your success

  • 5+ years of full-time professional experience, preferably with exposure to general accounting practices and IT data solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, validation, or business intelligence roles
  • Strong proficiency with various technology platforms, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiar with SQL, database management (e.g., SQL server databases), and data visualization tools (PowerBI, etc.)
  • Experience validating large datasets from multiple sources, with an understanding of ETL processes and reporting tools like SSRS.
  • Knowledgeable of business intelligence practices and data warehouse processes
  • Knowledgeable in financial and accounting practices/procedures
