About the job
Customers are accelerating smart manufacturing and predictive maintenance initiatives. New players such as IoT platform providers and companies using big data to improve customer processes are growing stronger in the market. This brings a need to accelerate development and deployment of new business models and partnerships for Alfa Laval. Over the last year we have developed and started offering a connectivity solution, the Smart Heat Exchanger, to the Market and we are now looking for a Business Developer who can continue this journey as well as contribute to the identification and development of additional Digital Services for our portfolio.

The overarching task is to accelerate the market activities for the Smart Heat Exchanger solution. This includes leading and coordinating cross-functional activities with a focus on the market, that are required for this offering to succeed. The role will also play an important role in developing and deploying other new digital service solutions emerging from the learnings and upcoming trends and market demands in this field. The role will be based in Lund and will include 50-80 days of international travels per year. Responsibilities will include:

  • Own the Smart Heat Exchanger solution from a commercial product perspective
  • Develop and maintain the connectivity program roadmap with a focus of the rollout into relevant markets including strategic & organizational fit, training as well as change management
  • Identifying and driving collaboration with partners in key customer segments
  • Being the main interface and driving demands towards internal stakeholders
  • Identify, develop and implement new Digital Service Business Models and its alignment with the GPHE Service Product Portfolio

What you need

  • Have an academic degree as a base and at least five years’ experience in roles with exposure to direct customers in the industries we serve.
  • Have a strong interest in IoT, Smart Manufacturing, Digitalization and the opportunities it brings.
  • Ideally you have driven the development of a business before and are passionate about business development.
  • You also have a proven record in delivering results in a global matrix organization.
  • Previous experience in heat transfer technology is beneficial.
