Description:
The Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC) is a premier regional venue dedicated to hosting exceptional conventions, entertainment events, and expositions. As we strive for continuous growth and commercial success, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Business Development Officer for parental leave coverage until March 2025.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Field sales/hire enquiries assess availability and prepare quotations.
- Administer contracts, maintain accurate records in the Venue Booking Software (EBMS), and oversee the compilation of reports to Finance Department for accurate billing of event hires.
- Liaise with production/catering to ensure records are up to date and that information has been accurately shared amongst teams.
- Collaborate with the sales team to implement and enhance sales strategies.
- Actively contribute to achieving maximum revenue generation.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the centre’s market reach.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Provide support in planning and executing events to ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
