REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex scientific concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably within a related industry.
  • Experience with products and services in the drug development industry is a plus.
  • Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to efficiently engage with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and sales data analysis.
  • Solid understanding and proficiency in life science and/or the biospecimens industry to be able to serve as a resource for customers.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from four-year college or university; or high school graduate with three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in a biological or chemical science field preferred.
  • Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs including MS Office
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively reach out to prospective customers via phone, email, and other communication channels to generate leads and initiate sales conversations. Use sales enablement tools for prospecting.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from a variety of channels, providing accurate product information, pricing, and technical support as needed.
  • Engage directly with existing customers to increase customer engagement. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products or services. Prepare and send quotes for standard products, liaise with internal departments for quotes for non-standard products.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM or similar tools to track customer interactions, manage leads, and forecast sales pipeline activity.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Directors to develop and execute targeted sales strategies for assigned territories or market segments. Apply knowledge and understanding of the Company operational processes, market position, and competition to identify and qualify leads, prospects, and incoming inquiries that fit our strategic objectives.
  • Conduct virtual presentations to educate customers on the features, benefits, and applications of BioIVT’s products and services. Report to the Senior Director of Commercial Excellence all relevant information relating to field activities, including customer feedback, competitive actions, etc.
  • Responsible for achieving regional sales targets on a quarterly basis in accordance with the annual corporate sales plan. Develop and maintain a business plan to forecast and achieve sales goals.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to network with potential customers and promote BioIVT’s brand and offerings.
