Your role
What you’ll be doing
Corpay is seeking a motivated Business Development Associate to join our newly established New Zealand office, at Britomart Place, Auckland. This is a unique opportunity to join the world’s largest non-bank provider of cross-border payments and foreign exchange risk management solutions in an entry-level corporate sales role with significant earning potential. At Corpay, we combine the resources and scale of a global bank with the innovative spirit and agility of a FinTech enterprise. Initially, you’ll support the senior sales team by identifying prospective clients, qualifying their needs, and scheduling appointments. You’ll strategically target new clients by following up on internal leads, leveraging your network, and proactively reaching out to new businesses. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship in a supportive, close-knit environment, with ongoing career advancement opportunities within New Zealand and Corpay’s global network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly targets by identifying and qualifying prospects.
  • Evaluate prospects FX and international payment needs.
  • Schedule appointments for phone discussions or online & face-to-face meetings.
  • Stay up to date with financial markets and economic developments.
  • Follow up prospects through periodic calls, timely market updates, and marketing materials.
  • Regularly update the company CRM system, Salesforce.com.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Previous sales or outbound phone marketing experience.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, tenacity, resilience, and a positive outlook.
  • An interest in financial markets, banking and finance.
  • Self-motivated and focused, with effective organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence to engage with Directors and C-Level Executives of large corporations.
  • Demonstrated level of sales confidence during the interview process
  • Experience with CRM systems, especially Salesforce.com, is preferred.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
