The Business Development team is a centralised function advising and supporting the Firm in its marketing, sales support and business development activities. The key drivers for the team are to ensure we support the development and implementation of the firm’s strategy and in particular help:

  • Drive profitable revenue growth (through a new key client programme and target clients)
  • Develop and deliver a clear brand proposition through our sector focus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

You must be highly organised, handle multiple concurrent projects and ensure completion against tight deadlines. We operate in highly competitive markets, and so you must be able to operate at a high quality in demanding situations.

You must be an effective communicator and a team player. Solid writing skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

International growth is at the heart of Addleshaw Goddard’s strategy and the firm is committed to providing high quality, seamless, consistent service to its clients wherever they need us. Alongside our network of international offices, an effective preferred firm network is critical for the firm’s success.
The Business Development Co-ordinator will work with the International BD Manager and team to support the delivery of Global Connect, our preferred firm network, and the firm’s International Business Groups which drive the business in locations where the firm does not have an on the ground presence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to genuinely make a difference and effect positive change; supporting the firm’s growth ambitions and embedding an international mindset around the firm.

DUTIES

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Embed a systematic approach for capturing and tracking referrals as well as engagement activities with our preferred firms
Regularly analyse the referral data, including financials, to distil themes and identify opportunities, sharing findings, where appropriate, with the firm’s Executive, Sector Heads, Group Heads and other relevant teams
Support the ongoing management of AG’s Global Connect firm network, including all associated infrastructure, tools and resources. Be a source of best practice and encourage growth and development within the systems management environment
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns and marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and presentations
Support the production of new financial reporting and business analysis for international business groups and related preferred firms
Tracking budget spend across Global Connect and International Business Groups
Ensure international deal experience is collated and easily accessible and support both the Bids Team and BD Team with completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaire type responses or population of other standard content for bids
Work with the Internal Communications Team to develop and deliver effective internal and external comms plans around our international work to successfully engage the firm and deliver real change
Own the global intranet pages and keep all resources up to date and responsive to the needs of our clients and our partners
Use CRM system, Interaction, to assist with enquiries and support engagement activities and use Vuture to provide e-marketing support for events and publications (setting up invite lists through to creating and managing the full invite process) and support on events organisation, coordination and management for the events run by the International Business Groups in London such as seminars, webinars and conferences
Supporting on meeting requests and IBA Annual Conference attendance
Support with market research on business opportunities, trends, competitor analysis
