In every studio, our dynamic Business Support teams build, maintain and improve the foundations that allow us to keep collaborating with our clients, partners – and each other. With talented team members integrated across the business, the team keeps Hassell running smoothly through administration, document control, graphics production, facilities and operations, business development, and process management.
Job Description
Hassell is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to join our Sydney team. This role will play a crucial part in expanding our client engagement and winning work across Australia and supporting our business development strategy. You’ll work closely with the Leadership Group and Client Leader to drive the client program and manage the submissions process.
The Business Development Coordinator is a core role within the team. You will provide support and assistance across all facets of the business, including studio operations, staff, leadership, projects, business development, events, and day-to-day operations.
This diverse role offers the opportunity to focus your efforts where you can have the greatest impact while still providing general support across the business. Additionally, this position has significant scope for transitioning into a strategic role, allowing you to grow and develop your career within the company.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with the property and construction industry and support strong client relationships.

The following skills and experience would be required:

  • Experience producing submissions/bids for tenders.
  • Exceptional desktop publishing and graphic design skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe suites (ie InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop etc)
  • Talent for creative prose
  • Exceptional attention to detail, presentation and pride in quality of work
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills, graphic skills are highly desirable
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative and perform duties under limited supervision
  • Project management skills and ability to prioritise and keep a clear head around deadlines
  • Initiative and preparedness to take on responsibilit

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate roll out of global client program
  • Support document production, contract preparation, meeting coordination
  • Assist with business development document production
  • Coordinate and manage business-related events, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and maintaining budget and records
  • Assist with maintaining the CRM database and keeping it up to date
  • Work collaboratively with the bid team to support on fee proposals and other collateral when required
  • Driving client listening and bid feedback
  • Coordinate beneficial relationships with key industry bodies and organisations
    Qualifications
    We’re looking for someone who thrives in a creative environment and who has a ‘can-do’ attitude to tasks and responsibilities. Similar experience in a design, construction, infrastructure or engineering environment would be advantageous.
