The Growth group at Hydro One is responsible for generating innovative new business opportunities and helping the company grow its earnings. The selected candidate will assist the Growth team in developing microgrid and fleet business strategies by identifying growth opportunities, conducting market research, and contributing to proposal and grant writing. In addition, they will manage data, organize documents, and coordinate communication between teams and partners while handling administrative tasks related to proposals and project management. This is a hybrid working model.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering (MBA/BBA preferred)
- Strategic Thinking: Develop and execute growth strategies.
- Market Research: Analyze market trends and opportunities.
- Communication: Communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain client and partner relationships.
- Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and progress.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data for decision-making and performance tracking.
- Working Model: Hybrid (2 days in office; 3 days remote)
- Office Location: Bay Street, Toronto
Responsibilities:
- Microgrid/Fleet Business Development Support: Assist in the creation and management of business development strategies, including identifying opportunities for growth and new vertical research.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to support business development efforts, including tracking industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Proposal and Grant Development: Contribute to the preparation and writing of proposals and grants, including drafting content, editing documents, and ensuring compliance with submission guidelines.
- Data Management: Track and monitor relevant data related to new projects and proposals, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Document Management: Format and organize documents related to business development, proposals, and grants, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Collaboration Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination between internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of business development and grant-related activities.
- Administrative Support: Manage administrative tasks related to the submission and tracking of proposals and grants, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and supporting overall project management.
