What You’ll Be Doing:
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities and market trends, analyze competitive landscape and industry developments to inform strategic planning.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to new strategic growth markets.
- Develop and present proposals, including technical and commercial aspects, to potential customers.
- Application Engineering:
- Provide technical support and expertise to customers during the pre-sales and post-sales phases. Assist customers in the selection, integration, and optimization of motion systems and solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to ensure the proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
- Project Management:
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and marketing teams to develop and deliver customized solutions.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Product Development and Customization:
- Work closely with the R&D team to develop new products and customize existing solutions based on customer feedback and market demands.
- Participate in the design, prototyping, and testing of new products and applications.
- Strategic Planning:
- Contribute to the development of business strategies and plans to achieve company growth objectives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business development activities.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in motion systems and related technologies.
- Provide technical expertise
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree in business is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or application engineering within the engineering or manufacturing industry for at least 3 years.
- Strong technical background and understanding of motion systems, electric motors, and actuators.
- Knowledge of engineering software and tools for design and analysis (CAD, Python, minitab)
- Ability to conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and testing to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements.
- Inquisitive mindset to identify problems to be solved.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Comfortable with cold calling and initiating contact with potential customers.
- Experience in market research and analysis.
- Travel: Up to 25%
