POSITION OVERVIEW:
As part of our New Business expansion programme, we are seeking an innovative and highly motivated consultative Technical Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer engagement and working intimately with various internal and external stakeholders. The position is focussed on idea generation and early definition of solutions that attract and secure interest in the company’s services and products in industries associated with organic chemistry. Key to the role are superior communication skills, the ability to articulate conceptual thinking in a manner that can be easily understood by both technical and commercial audiences.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities who thrives in fast-paced team environments.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field – preference for Chemical Engineering
- 2-3 years’ experience in crafting technical solutions in industries associated with organic chemistry.
- Experience in active business development will be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Support Business Development team on technical engagements, assist with concept development and crafting innovative and unique customer solutions.
- Promoting ProProcess: Promote ProProcess’ technical capability in the market, by visiting international clients, interacting with industry leaders, and showcasing the Groups key capabilities at industry events
- Market Research: Work with the Business Development team to conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential Clients. Keeping informed about latest trends, regulations, and standards.
- Technology: Assist ProProcess teams with technology screening, concept development and participation in feasibility studies.
- Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s product and solutions. Stay up to date on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor’s offerings.
- Proposal Development: Assist with detailed and accurate proposals, outlining the customers’ expectations, assist the proposals team to craft unique offering.
- Customer Relationship Management: Manage and nurture new and ongoing relationships with customers, post award of contracts, ensuring that customers remain loyal to ProProcess.
