Carnival Australia are excited to announce: We are hiring a Business Development Executive to join our Cunard Sales team. Based in our Chatswood office in Sydney, you will be providing support to our Travel Agent network for Cunard. Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager by providing timely and accurate responses to queries and escalations from travel agents to ensure Cunard maintains its renowned White Star Service at every touchpoint. Assist the sales team in executing excellent trade engagement by supporting administrative tasks and organizing trade events.

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Oversee the Cunard Travel Agent Support inbox, ensuring all queries are addressed efficiently and within agreed SLA.
  • Manage trade partner onboarding, including new agency setups, ensuring access to all systems, and facilitate trade partner updates within internal systems.
  • Collaborate with Call Centre teams to ensure continuous communication and alignment of processes.
  • Send out weekly travel agent hot deals emails and other ad hoc updates as required.
  • Work closely with and provide daily support to the Commercial Sales Manager and Key Account Managers for Cunard.
  • Assist with organising ship visits, travel agent familiarisation trips, and travel agent events.
  • Serve as the key contact point for core accounts when Sales Managers are on annual leave, managing phone and email queries as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team as needed.
  • Some travel required occasionally.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE DEMONSTRATED:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a sales/admin position or sales-focused Customer Service role.
  • Travel or cruise industry experience preferred
  • Experience working with external stakeholders in a customer facing role.
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office suite specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Polar (for internal candidates) preferred. Previous experience using Salesforce highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a high attention to detail.
  • A high level of organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong reactive support to customers and travel agents on all queries.
  • A high degree of initiative and problem-solving skills and general administration skills.
  • Ability to travel both locally and domestically when required.
