JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Freight Forwarding Business Development Executive to join our team at Vantage Shipping Line. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with in-depth knowledge of Full Container Load (FCL) services. This role is key to growing our market presence, expanding the customer base, and driving revenue in the FCL shipping sector.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on Full Container Load (FCL) services.
Proven track record in business development, sales, and client management within the freight forwarding industry.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or related field (preferred).
- Technical Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of FCL shipping processes, import/export regulations, and international shipping documentation.
Familiarity with industry-standard software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skills:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and drive business development goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal Attributes:
Self-motivated and target-oriented with a passion for sales and business development.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
Identify and target new business opportunities for FCL services, leveraging industry knowledge to drive growth.
Research market trends, competitor activities, and potential clients to formulate strategic approaches for acquiring new business.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement sales strategies to effectively promote FCL container services to a broad client base.
Collaborate with senior leadership to set achievable sales targets and KPIs, consistently meeting or exceeding goals.
Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Client Relationship Management:
Manage and nurture client accounts, ensuring exceptional service and long-term loyalty.
Advise clients on customized logistics solutions and ensure timely and accurate delivery of FCL services.
- Proposal and Quotation Preparation:
Provide clients with accurate pricing and tailored proposals for FCL services.
Negotiate service agreements, ensuring the company remains competitive while maximizing profitability.
- Market Analysis & Reporting:
Track sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing detailed reports to management.
Use data-driven insights to adjust sales strategies and identify new opportunities for business development.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
Work cross-functionally with operations, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and partners to ensure best-in-class service delivery for FCL clients.
- Customer Support:
Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional after-sales service.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention, promoting long-term business relationships.
