Description:

Company Description
Propra is reimagining property management with a focus on using technology to alleviate the administrative burden for landlords and property managers so they can focus on what matters most—growing their business and delivering an exceptional living experience for their residents.
As a startup, you have the opportunity to join us on the ground floor and make a lasting impact. Our team is highly collaborative and customer-obsessed, often working beyond traditional role boundaries to move the business forward and create meaningful change.
Job Description
As a Business Development Intern, you will support revenue growth by driving our sales funnel through outreach to identified targets, following up on inbound leads, and booking meetings with qualified prospects. Working hand in hand with the sales team, you’ll play a pivotal role in customer acquisition while also contributing to broader business development projects. This role offers hands-on experience in sales strategy and execution, helping to identify and develop new business opportunities.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • You are pursuing an undergraduate degree, currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year, and are returning to full-time or part-time studies after completing the work term.
  • You are located in Calgary or open to relocate for on-site work.
  • You have experience in cold calling, door-to-door sales, or call center environments, demonstrating your ability to confidently engage with potential clients and handle the challenges of outbound outreach.
  • You are a motivated problem-solver, always looking for creative and effective solutions to challenges.
  • You are a strong team player who can work well independently, effectively managing your own tasks while contributing to the team’s success.
  • You are personable and an effective communicator with strong organizational skills.
  • You are highly organized and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in lead generation efforts by researching potential markets, identifying target prospects, and initiating outreach through cold calls, emails, and other channels.
  • Follow up with inbound leads to qualify prospects and secure meetings for the sales team.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach strategies, optimize messaging, and drive improvements in meeting conversion rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of all lead interactions in our CRM system and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.
  • Support the development of new processes and strategies to streamline lead generation and optimize sales performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects with marketing, product, and operations teams to identify new business development opportunities.
    Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual who is excited about the challenge of outbound sales, passionate about building relationships, and eager to enhance their communication skills. If you’re ready to contribute to a dynamic team and take initiative in solving problems, this role is for you.
