BreatheSafe are a proud Australian company that strives to develop, manufacture and sell world leading dust control and air quality solutions to any industry that is exposed to dust or airborne contaminant, both locally and internationally. Following exciting growth plans, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in either Mackay QLD, Hunter Valley NSW or Brisbane QLD.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The primary responsibility of the BDM at Breathesafe will be identifying, developing, and maintaining strategic relationships with key industry partners to drive company growth and profitability. The BDM will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to implement strategies that increase market share and revenue. This role requires a proactive approach, strong business acumen, and excellent communication skills.

  • Client Management: Oversee key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention, regularly communicate to address needs and provide solutions.
  • Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, positioning BreatheSafe as a trusted advisor
  • Prospect Identification: Research and identify potential clients and business opportunities through networking, cold calling, events, and online research.
  • Presentations and Proposals: Deliver compelling presentations and proposals highlighting the technical and commercial benefits of BreatheSafe’s offerings.
  • Networking: Attend industry events to promote BreatheSafe and establish connections.
  • Market Expansion: Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand BreatheSafe’s presence, identifying trends and emerging opportunities
  • Brand Promotion: Increase visibility through social media, industry publications, and professional networks.
  • Client Engagement: Foster strong client relationships through regular communication and tailored solutions that meet their business objectives.
  • Mining Network: Develop relationships at mine sites, HO’s including Mine Managers, Production and Procurement personnel, developing the BreatheSafe name and presence in the marketplace.

This role will also require the incumbent to travel nationally when required throughout Australia.

This position is ideally suited to someone who has a strong hands-on sales background with extensive experience within the mining industry or services. You will have proven experience in a sales management role, preferably in the mining or civil industry. We will require the following of you:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with Mining Services or within the mining industry
  • Minimum of 5 years industrial sales experience, preferably within the resources industry
  • Mining or heavy equipment sales experience well regarded
  • Experience with large surface mining equipment including excavators and/or haul trucks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle tense phone and field situations in a professional and calm manner
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Self-driven, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Someone who can work efficiently and independently as well as in a team
