Job Description
The Wholesale Sales & Business Development Manager - TaaS (Telco as a Service) role is a “Hybrid” position that combines account management and business development responsibilities. This position can be based in either Melbourne OR Sydney.
The Account Manager - TaaS role aims to lead the growth of a defined portfolio through comprehensive account management, involving extensive engagement with customers and key stakeholders.
The Business Development – TaaS role is focused on driving growth and expanding our market presence among new and emerging TaaS customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. We seek a proactive sales leader passionate about cultivating partner relationships and driving margin growth.
This position reports to the General Manager of Sales and Business Development and will function as part of the broader Sales Team.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage a pipeline of new and ongoing customers for the business
- Create bespoke and tailored proposal and tenders for new customers
- Manage accounts that you have created and increase their spend
- Be tasked with analytical reporting of the sales process
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, product, marketing, legal..etc
Qualifications
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 3 - 5 years of experience in new sales, preference for experience within the telecommunications industry.
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills for senior business members and external customers
- Excellent communication and networking abilities
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and numeric skills
- Commercial acumen and negotiation experience
- Initiative and quick decision-making
- Effective time and workload management
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, able to multitask under pressure
- Ability to evaluate business cases for value maximization
- General knowledge of telecommunications products & services preferred
