Qualifications and Skills:

  • A strong background in Channel Sales is essential.
  • Extensive experience working with Cisco will be highly preferred
  • Experience working in IT distribution is advantageous.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in developing Sales and Territory plans, with the ability to present plans effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis and reporting. Advanced PowerPoint skills are highly desirable.
  • A track record of effectively managing a channel in highly competitive markets.
  • Ideally, Tertiary qualifications in a Business or Marketing field

Responsibilities:

ABOUT ROLE:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, we are currently recruiting for a high-performing Business Development Manager to join our team. The core responsibility of this role will see the successful candidate effectively manage the Australian relationship between Ingram Micro and Cisco. Through effectively managing this relationship with the Vendor Manager, the Business Development Manager will ensure that margin and revenue numbers are met, Managing and growing the channel along with ensuring all forecasting and reporting is maintained.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and exceed revenue and sales targets to support the company’s growth objectives.
  • Regularly engage with partners to expand our product portfolio and build strong, enduring relationships with both existing and new partners.
  • Effectively manage and nurture the relationship between Ingram Micro and Cisco. Collaborate closely with the Vendor Manager to ensure the achievement of margin and revenue targets.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that sales revenue and profitability metrics are met.
  • Assist in executing quarterly marketing plans and work hand in hand with the Ingram Micro sales team to maximize brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Vendor Manager and support associates to ensure the continued success of the portfolio.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and forecasting to help guide decision-making.
