You’ll be joining an established, multi-award-winning energy & sustainability consultancy, working with some of the biggest and most iconic brands in the world!
Connectus Utilities, part of Consultus, provide multi-utility coordination and project management services covering electricity, gas, water, telecoms/ICT, sewerage and other utilities. We handle all aspects of connection, relocation and disconnection for all industrial, commercial and residential settings.

ABOUT YOU AND WHAT TO EXPECT

As our Business Development Manager you will secure new business by building strong value driven relationships with strategic partners and leveraging those relationships to sell Connectus solutions directly into the partners’ clients / members / affiliates / networks. This is not a line management position.
Target market partners / clients are builders, developers, architects, M&E consultants who we help deliver the utility connections for developments of new build or redevelopment projects that they are active on.
We’re looking for someone with previous channel / partner sales experience in the built environment sector (i.e working with construction companies, property developers, utility connection networks / suppliers, etc). You will be sales-hungry, proactive, creative and customer focused. Strong knowledge of utility connections and how the built environment / construction industry works is essential.

With strong competitor knowledge, you will be:

  • Selling to key clients and partners with significant spend and complex requirements
  • Building strong relationships with partner organisations to extract the most value from relationships
  • Building a partner network - Identify, target and secure new partners
  • Management pipelines and deal closing
  • Customer scope collection and proposal / quotation creation
  • Working closely with operational teams to provide clear scopes to build proposals on
  • Working closely with our Marketing team to drive new and existing marketing activities
  • Collaborate with team members who specialise in selling our utility & renewable procurement and bureau services, sustainability consulting services, and net zero implementations services through our partner network
  • Selling our coordination and project management solutions covering the following activities;

o New Connections
o Disconnections
o Utility Supply Upgrades
o Metering
o Asset Planning
o Diversions
o HV Substation Management
