Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in the Elevator and Escalator industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, overseeing project management activities, preparing quotations, and ensuring timely payment follow-ups. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, strategic sales ability, and effective communication to expand our client base and achieve business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the elevator and escalator industry (preferred).
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in quotation preparation, contract negotiation, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols related to elevators and escalators.
  • Familiarity with project management software and CRM systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Client Acquisition:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the elevator and escalator sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including architects, contractors, developers, and facility managers.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and potential clients.
  • Promote the company’s products and services through networking, industry events, and presentations.
  • Quote Preparation & Proposal Management:
  • Prepare detailed and competitive quotations based on client requirements, project scope, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to ensure accurate and feasible solutions are proposed.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure timely submission and approval of proposals.
  • Ensure that all documentation is accurate and aligned with client needs and company policies.
  • Project Management & Coordination:
  • Oversee the execution of elevator and escalator projects from initial contract signing to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, installation, and maintenance) to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Monitor the progress of projects, address any issues or delays, and report status updates to clients and senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and client specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the project.
  • Anticipate client needs and offer solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and project success.
  • Regularly meet with clients to review project progress and discuss future opportunities.
  • Resolve client concerns or disputes in a professional and timely manner to maintain strong long-term relationships.
  • Payment Follow-Up & Financial Oversight:
  • Track and manage payment schedules for ongoing projects, ensuring timely invoicing and payment receipt.
  • Follow up with clients on overdue payments in a professional and tactful manner.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to resolve payment issues, disputes, or discrepancies.
  • Monitor project financials to ensure alignment with the project budget and overall profitability.
  • Reporting & Strategy Development:
  • Prepare regular reports on sales, business development activities, and project status for senior management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand market share and improve the company’s competitive position in the elevator and escalator industry.
  • Set targets and KPIs to track progress toward business development goals.
