DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced business development manager to join our team at DMC Healthcare. You will be a highly driven and experienced sales professional who is eager to make a significant impact within the healthcare sector. Moreover, you’ll be passionate about healthcare, possess exceptional sales skills, and thrive in a dynamic and results-oriented environment. Ideally we are looking for someone based in the North of England.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven track record of success in selling preferably within the NHS, Hospitals & Trusts and/or to ICBs and/or private healthcare providers.
- Strong understanding of NHS Structure, procurement, and healthcare sector dynamics in the UK. Preferably able to demonstrate a knowledge of managed clinical services (insourcing / outsourcing) to NHS and/or independent healthcare sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, with ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively and influence key stakeholders. Preferably able to demonstrate a track record in key opinion leader / decision making development.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, resulting in revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify opportunities, analyse market trends, and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred).
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As a business development manager, you will be responsible for selling DMC Healthcare’s comprehensive range of services to the National Health Service (NHS), Hospitals & Trusts, Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and/or Private Healthcare suppliers across the United Kingdom.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strategic mindset, exceptional sales skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic leadership: develop and execute the company’s strategic plan in alignment with its mission, vision, and values. Identify growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and innovative solutions to drive business expansion and enhance service delivery.
- Develop and implement sales strategies: Create and execute a comprehensive key account sales strategy to promote DMC Healthcare managed services portfolio into the NHS Trust, ICB’s and/or independent healthcare sector. Inc. Identify sales opportunities, establish target accounts and develop/ maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- Build and maintain client relationships: Identify, Develop, and Maintain client business relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders / opinion leaders within NHS Trusts, ICB’s and/or Independent healthcare sector. Act as trusted advisor/partner, understanding key requirements and providing tailored solutions
- Generate new business: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the healthcare sector. Leverage market intelligence and industry trends to identify potential clients, establish initial contact, and convert leads into sales.
- Conduct sales presentations and negotiations: Deliver compelling sales presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to prospective clients. Effectively communicate the value proposition of DMC Healthcare’s services, addressing client concerns and objections. Lead negotiations and contract discussions to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with internal departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of sales strategies. Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to help shape DMC Healthcare’s offerings and improve overall sales performance.
- Achieve sales targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals set by the company. Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and provide regular reports to the management team, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Stay abreast of the latest developments, policies, and regulations in the healthcare industry. Continuously expand knowledge of DMC Healthcare’s services and the competitive landscape to effectively position the company as a market leader.
