Description:

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Business Development Manager of Electric Power, the Business Development Manager, Electric Power in Oil & Gas is responsible for bringing innovation and vision necessary to expand our Canadian Electric Power business. This individual will need to understand every aspect of our business strategy, operations, and related external factors necessary to grow Enerflex’s position as a turnkey powerplant provider in the Oil & Gas sector of Canada.
You will bring an innovative mindset and strong interpersonal communication skills with a desire to develop and win business, leveraging the existing regional footprint and presence. This role requires frequent travel within Western Canada with periodic travel to other regions.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of our downtown Calgary office.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The ideal candidate is experienced in all facets of natural gas electric power sales, design, manufacturing, installation, operation, and service. You are analytical, a collaborator, an influencer, and results driven.
  • Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Business, Engineering, or a discipline which complements the business strategy).
  • Minimum 3 years in a related sales or business development role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the electric power industry and the oil and gas sector.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Experience and capability to make cold calls and generate new business.
  • Flexibility to effectively manage changing circumstances, last minute requests and changing deadlines.
  • Visionary thinker with the ability to bring a strategic lens to the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Using market intelligence, assess business opportunities in alignment with strategy to attract and solicit new customers from the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Develop and present proposals to prospective customers; negotiate business terms and contracts; lead the closure of deals.
  • Understand the Enerflex power offerings, applications and market niches for electric power in the Canadian oil & gas sector; develop strategies to penetrate these niches.
  • Meet with customers and promote products aligned with solutions that will exceed their expectations.
  • Support customers in the development of their power projects.
  • Identify key events to attend as exhibitor and promote the Enerflex power offerings in the oil & gas sector.
  • Organize educational opportunities with customers and engineering firms to showcase Enerflex solutions.
  • Collaborate with the other regions to educate and promote electric power solutions aligned with customer needs.
