For our Business Development Department we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager - Forestry & Civil Protection.

RELEVANT SKILLS

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or a related field , particularly within the wildfire management or remote sensing segment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Forest Management, Environmental Science, or a related field is required. Technical backgrounds preferred.
  • You have knowledge in competitor analysis, strategic planning, and market analysis within B2B and B2G sectors.
  • Long-term expertise and strong understanding of the forestry and/or civil protection sector as well as experience in scaling business operations globally.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Proactive, innovative, and results-driven mindset with a passion for technology and its applications in solving real-world problems.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Manager for Forestry and Civil Protection you will be working towards achieving OroraTech’s overarching goal by expanding our reach and impact within the sectors of forestry management and civil protection. This role is charged with establishing strategic partnerships, understanding the unique challenges within the forestry and civil protection sectors, and effectively positioning OroraTech’s innovative satellite-based solutions as essential tools for advanced, data-driven decision making in wildfire management. The success of this role is integral to OroraTech’s vision of becoming a global leader in environmental monitoring and disaster response technologies. Particularly, you will:

Shape the company’s market positioning by analyzing needs and challenges of the customer segments forestry & civil protection.

  • Work closely with the Product Development, Sales, and Customer Success team to develop and improve innovative solutions aligned with customer and market requirements.
  • Align with Product Management on product strategies & roadmaps as a market expert.
  • Conduct in-depth competition analysis and define pricing strategies to establish and maintain a competitive advantage for the company’s solutions in the market.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for specific solutions, collaborating with sales and marketing teams to ensure effective implementation.
  • Determine and assess the value which the company’s solutions provide in a customer-focused design thinking process and identify necessary developments in the solution to enhance the value creation.
  • Participate in and influence strategic decisions related to forestry & civil protection solutions, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Represent the company’s solution demands and interests in interactions with internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships.
