Your Role and Responsibilities

In this position, you will play an important role in working with strategic ISV (Independent Software Vendor) partners for IBM Power. You will be responsible for engaging with key ISV partners that have applications focused on vertical industries such as Financial Services that are critical to growth and modernization of IBM Power. Your role will include building business cases, articulating the value of the partnership and how we jointly execute & monetize. You will also work in close alignment with product management, sales, marketing, Red Hat, industry, IBM Consulting and business partners to build and deploy go-to-market programs. The ideal candidate will possess a business, software and hardware background. Have demonstrated success working with ISVs and working cross functionally as well as cross business unit/division. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, the software ecosystem and industry trends to enable you to build strong relationships with target ISVs, identify ways to deliver high levels of client engagement and generate revenue for IBM Power and our ISV partners. Key Responsibilities and Goals

  • Serve as a key member of the Business Development team to build the ISV Ecosystem
  • Work closely with IBM Power product management, sales, business partners and strategic ISVs to drive IBM Power revenue and profit commitments
  • Work across IBM business units/division to drive joint execution and advocacy
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with target ISV partners to drive ongoing commitment and growth opportunities for IBM Power
  • Build the business case for each partnership articulating the value of the partnership and what each party brings to the table
  • Drive teaming between IBM Power product management, sales and market with ISV partner counterparts to deliver joint go-to-market programs

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience working with and through a highly matrixed and global organization
  • Ability to work effectively with external organizations
  • Network of established contacts within strategic ISV
  • Demonstrated history of success in establishing strategic relationships with ISVs that drive long term collaboration/partnership along with measurable revenue/growth
  • Strong negotiation & collaboration skills
  • Understanding of the software and hardware markets
  • At least 10 years of experience creating business cases and partnership value
  • Proficiency working with Product Management, Sales, Red Hat, IBM Consulting, Industry teams

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
