Role Overview:
This role will be part of the Management Team responsible for leading the SA business plan and achieving business goals. Responsible for development and implementation of the National Marketing Plan and strategies aimed at achieving sales and profit objectives for specified platform. Will additionally lead a surgical sales team selling both Joints and Trauma to drive the growth and success of the business within the allocated geographical region. Maintain excellent commercial and environmental knowledge and gain insights to shaping the business to ensure growth. Partner with colleagues across Medical Devices to ensure the full extent of company resources is harnessed and delivers more than competitors in the marketplace. Lead, building and mentoring a highly effective diverse sales team improve their sales performance and retaining top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily application of high-level business sense supporting the company’s long term sustainable and profitable growth plan through customer targeting and segmentation, choosing correct method of servicing and choosing the right product
  • Responsible for the development & execution of Portfolio’s marketing strategy in partnership with Functional Business Partners
  • Launch new products through a structured roll out plan
  • Analysing and interpreting of key financial and sales reports
  • Achieving regional sales growth targets through CREDO based leadership
  • Tender managements
  • Maintain excellent commercial and environmental knowledge and gain insights to ensure the most effective regional strategies, shaping the business to ensure growth.
  • Building and maintaining a highly effective diverse sales team environment that encourages performance excellence, retains top talent and leads to personal and organizational growth.
  • Strong cross business collaboration
  • Regular travel required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience required; MA/MBA preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years knowledge of and experience in selling, people management and marketing Orthopedic business.
  • Proven track record of people leadership and project management
  • Solid understanding of both private and government sector for medical devices
  • Experience in strategy design and development
  • The ability to collaborate will all levels of management and influence decision-making.
  • Effective in setting and delivering on business goals.
