As the Business Development Manager Local Government & Emergencies at EsriBeLux, you will play a pivotal role in driving market growth for our cutting-edge GIS solutions. You will work closely with both existing and new customers, municipalities and cities, helping them discover how GIS technology can empower them to achieve their vision and strategic objectives. In this role, you will act as a thought leader, educating and inspiring potential clients on the transformative benefits of GIS. You will also take the lead in building a strong community of GIS users across Belgium and Luxembourg, with a focus on achieving business growth and set targets.
What does your day look like?
You develop and execute strategic plans to grow the GIS market within the local government and emergency services sectors in Belgium and Luxembourg.
You establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in municipalities and cities, showcasing the transformative value of GIS technology to support their operational and strategic goals. You act as a trusted advisor.
You identify customer needs and align them with the capabilities of GIS technology, translating challenges into actionable, tech-driven solutions.
You build and lead a vibrant GIS community within local governments in Belgium and Luxembourg. Inform and inspire stakeholders by organizing info sessions, workshops, and webinars that highlight the latest in GIS technology.
You position yourself as a GIS thought leader by delivering impactful presentations, conducting hands-on workshops, and participating in relevant industry events to elevate Esri’s presence.
You stay updated on the latest trends and developments within the GIS and local government sectors, using this knowledge to inspire customers on how Esri technology can solve bottlenecks and optimize their workflows.
You oversee and support the development and execution of GIS projects, ensuring alignment with customer needs and goals.
You work closely with Esri’s international teams, including other European countries and the US-based group, to align strategies and share best practices in the local government space.
What is your story?
5+ yearsexperience in the government sector and/or IT solutions, eg in a solution sales role
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and establish a trustful relationship with clients.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex agreements.
Willingness to learn and develop a solid understanding of GIS technology and its applications.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and client satisfaction.
You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
