POLITICO is looking for a business development manager to join our growing UK office. The BDM position is a mid-level sales position with the primary objective of growing POLITICO Pro’s subscription business throughout the UK.
POLITICO Pro, POLITICO’s premium B2B policy news subscription service, seeks experienced, talented and smart candidates who work proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration, development and achievement. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a growing team in London and beyond.
This is a full-time, office-based position (with hybrid flexibility) located in London, England, and involves some travel around the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a client first mindset
  • Develop outreach strategies to build relationships and drive new business revenue with clients
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client’s policy priorities, business and lead strategic advice across teams
  • Keep updated on competitive trends within assigned territories
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales results
  • Conceptualize, prepare, and deliver sales presentations
  • Embody the successful brand presence of POLITICO in the market, represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events and industry conferences
  • Bring energy and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
